Caesar Creek State Park: Horseshoe Falls and swinging bridge hike
The hike to Horseshoe Falls at Caesar Creek State Park is worth it! It is known for its sheer cliffs, waterfalls, and beautiful views. It is a great day-trip for families. Be sure to stop at the bathroom at the beginning of the trail since the are no facilities during the hike. Pack snacks and water as it can take around 30 minutes to reach the swinging bridge and falls. The park is free and open to the public during daylight hours. The hike is relatively flat the whole hike with one small hill. The hike is approximately 60 minutes round-trip.
Here is a list of what I recommend so everyone can be comfortable and safe on the hike:
Comfortable hiking shoes or sneakers
Snacks
Water
Sunglasses
Hat
Sunscreen
Comfortable clothing depending on the weather, layers if it a little chilly. You might want to take layers off once you warm up.
